Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Man with Van West Ealing is firmly committed to conducting all aspects of our operations in an ethical, transparent and responsible manner. We recognise that modern slavery and human trafficking are serious crimes and fundamental violations of human rights. This statement sets out the steps we take, and continue to develop, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our own operations and throughout our supply chains.

Our Business and Supply Chain

Man with Van West Ealing provides local and regional transport, removals and related services. Our activities are primarily based in the United Kingdom and rely on a network of direct employees, subcontracted drivers, vehicle hire providers, fuel suppliers, equipment providers and other service partners. We understand that risks can arise at any point in the supply chain, particularly where there is use of temporary labour, subcontracting or overseas sourcing of goods and equipment.

Zero-Tolerance Policy on Modern Slavery

We operate a clear and unequivocal zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking. Modern slavery is not acceptable in any part of our business or supply chain. We expect the same high standards from all individuals and organisations we work with, including employees, agency workers, contractors, suppliers and business partners.

All existing and new suppliers are made aware that any involvement in, or failure to act on, modern slavery or human trafficking will lead to a review of the relationship and may result in the termination of contracts or services. Our internal policies reinforce that any breach of our zero-tolerance stance by staff or contractors may lead to disciplinary or contractual consequences.

Supplier Standards and Audit Measures

We are committed to working only with suppliers and partners who share our values and who can demonstrate compliance with applicable labour and human rights laws. As part of our supplier management process, we require suppliers to confirm that they do not engage in, or support, modern slavery or human trafficking, and that they take reasonable steps to ensure their own supply chains are free from such practices.

Where we identify higher-risk relationships, we may carry out more detailed reviews or audits. These reviews can include requesting evidence of labour practices, checking the use of subcontractors, assessing working conditions, and verifying that workers are recruited and employed freely. Should we become aware of any credible concerns, we will investigate promptly and work with the supplier to address issues, or, where necessary, suspend or end the relationship.

Reporting Channels and Protection

We encourage anyone connected to our operations, including employees, workers, contractors, suppliers and members of the public, to report concerns about modern slavery or unethical labour practices. Concerns can be raised through our management team or other established reporting routes within the business. Reports can be made in confidence, and we will take all concerns seriously.

No individual who raises a concern in good faith will suffer any form of retaliation or detrimental treatment as a result of speaking up. We are committed to investigating all reports, taking appropriate action where required, and sharing learning within the business to prevent similar issues in the future.

Training, Awareness and Continuous Improvement

We are working to increase awareness within our workforce about the risks and indicators of modern slavery and human trafficking, particularly among those involved in procurement, supplier management and recruitment. Training and guidance focus on recognising warning signs, understanding our policies and knowing how to report concerns.

We aim to continuously improve our practices by reviewing emerging guidance, sector developments and legal requirements. Where necessary, we will update our procedures and documentation to strengthen our controls and ensure they remain effective and proportionate to our size and risk profile.

Monitoring and Annual Review

This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed annually by the management of Man with Van West Ealing to ensure it remains accurate, relevant and aligned with legal obligations and best practice. As part of the review, we assess any incidents reported, outcomes of supplier checks or audits, and feedback from staff and stakeholders.

Following each review, we may introduce additional measures or refine existing processes to better prevent, detect and respond to modern slavery risks. This statement represents our ongoing commitment to respect human rights, promote fair working conditions and ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our business or our supply chains.
